Surgical Procedures We Offer
Our physicians provide surgical intervention for a variety of diagnoses. When indicated, we offer laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
Some of the common surgical procedures handled by our pediatric practice include:
- Circumcision – Removal of foreskin, the fold of skin covering the head of the penis
- Circumcision Revisions – Correction of circumcision issue
- Continent Urinary Diversion – Creating a new reservoir for urine after having bladder removed
- Deflux Endoscopic Injections – Treats vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), where urine flows backward from the bladder into the ureters
- Genitoplasty / Vaginoplasty – Surgical procedure involving the genitals for reconstructive or cosmetic purposes
- Hydrocele Repairs – Corrects a hydrocele, a collection of fluid in the scrotum surrounding the testicle
- Hypospadias Repairs – Reconstructs an incompletely formed urethra
- Laparoscopy – Endoscopic exam of the abdomen for diagnosis purpose
- Lithotripsy – Procedure to break up a stone(s) in the urinary tract
- Lower Urinary Tract Reconstruction – Repairing or rebuilding the bladder and urethra to restore normal urine flow and function
- Microscopic Varicocele Ligation – Procedure utilizing a microscope to identify and tie off enlarged veins in the scrotum that can cause pain
- Orchidopexy – Place an undescended testis in the scrotum
- Penoplasty – Correction of an abnormal angulation of the penis
- Pyeloplasty – Relieves the obstruction of a kidney
- Reconstruction of Ambiguous Genitalia – Reconstructs external genitals to appear more male or female
- Ureteral Reimplantation – Correct vesicoureteral reflux (VUR)
